Please Note: On 3rd April 2025 we made the following changes to our Terms and Conditions.
4.4 The Hirer shall, throughout the period of hire, ensure that all entrances and emergency exits to the premises and the Forecourt (Carpark,) are not obstructed in any way. If an emergency exit needs to be opened, for anything other than an emergency, then this must be done by a member of Guildhall Staff only. In these circumstances, it is the Hirers responsibility to ensure that Guildhall Staff are made aware when the Fire Exit Door needs to be closed and re-secured. Any hirers opening a Fire Exit Door for a non-emergency could receive a £30 fine.
17.1 For events using children, it is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that they have adequate stewards and chaperones available. It is expected that the number of stewards be more than the number for a production not using children. A cheperone of 1:12 is a common guideline, but its crucial to assess the specific circumstances of each production.
